SpringEdge integrates with Zoho CRM through Deluge scripts — Zoho's built-in scripting language. Use the invokeurl function in workflow rules, custom buttons, or scheduled functions to call the SpringEdge SMS API — a form-encoded POST to <SMS_SERVICE_URL>/api/web/send/ (your SMS service URL, shared after sign-up) — and send SMS automatically.

This integration works with Zoho CRM, Zoho CRM Plus, and Zoho One. No external plugins or marketplace apps needed — just configure a Deluge script and start sending.

Zoho Deluge Script Example

This Deluge script calls the SpringEdge API to send an SMS when a new lead is created in Zoho CRM. It pulls the lead's mobile number and first name from the CRM record and sends a personalised welcome message. The API key goes in the apikey parameter, and the message text must match a DLT-approved template. See the SMS API documentation for all parameters and error messages.

Setup Steps:

  1. Go to Zoho CRM → Setup → Workflow Rules
  2. Create a new rule triggered on Lead creation
  3. Add a Custom Function action with the Deluge code and map the leadId argument to the Lead Id
  4. Replace YOUR_API_KEY and <SMS_SERVICE_URL> with your SpringEdge key and SMS service URL
  5. Save and activate the workflow
